A 2022 weather plugin referendum began on November 23, 2022 and ended on November 25, 2022 in order to allow the server playerbase to decide on the addition of the Deadly Disasters plugin.

The Deadly Disasters plugin is a plugin which allows the occurrence of various extreme weather events, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and sandstorms. Additionally, it also allows the occurrence of events such as "Purges", which greatly resemble Pillager raids, except they can happen outside of villages and contain a selection of custom mobs, and the "Black Plague", which causes a random mob to become infected and can spread the plague to other mobs and players if it is left uncontained. However, it is likely that the more extreme and catastrophic disasters will be limited, being either vanishingly rare or disabled outright, for the time being. However, this is subject to change based on popular opinion and any possible future referendums on this subject.

The owner of the server, nc77812, began asking players about the plugin to gauge whether there was any support for the plugin. A few users approved of the plugin, however it was decided that a formal referendum should be held in order to confirm the existence of popular support for the implementation of the plugin.
